Born 1947, USA. Studied art history at Harvard. Also studied with Eric Ennion, John Busby, Gunnar Brusewitz, Robert Bateman and Lars Jonsson. Teaches nature drawing and environmental studies to both adults and children. Author of several books including The Art of Field Sketching (1993) and Nature Drawing: A Tool for Learning (1980). Lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
